NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of October, 2023, the Town Board of the Town of Friendship, duly adopted a resolution, an abstract of which follows, which resolution is subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to Article 7 of the Town Law of the State of New York. This Resolution eliminates one office of elective Town Justice of the Town of Friendship, Allegany County, New York, which office is currently vacant, which reduction will be effective on December 31, 2023, unless eligible voters of the Town file a Petition requesting a referendum on such issue within 30 days of the adoption of this Resolution.
