The Town Board of Friendship will hold a Special Emergency Meeting on Monday, April 27, 2026 regarding Refuse Collection Specifications and advertising in the Legal Section in paper for the receiving of Bids and the Bid opening information.

The Town of Friendship will be accepting non-collusive closed sealed bids on the sale of a 2003 International Diesel Recycling Truck. All bids must be accompanied with a non-conclusive bidding certificate that is properly filled out and signed(form can be obtained at the Town Hall on business hours), then sealed. All bids must be placed in a sealed envelope and submitted to the Office of the Town Clerk at 4 East Main St., Friendship, NY by Tuesday, April 14th by 4 pm. Truck can be seen at 27 South St., Friendship. Bids will be opened up at the Regular Meeting on Wednesday on April 15, 2026 at 7:05 pm. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

To ensure timely payment and avoid penalties that the Town cannot legally waive, taxpayers should either pay in person, or request hand-cancellation at a USPS retail counter when mailing payments near deadlines.

The Town Board will hold its organizational meeting on Friday, January 2, 2025 at 2pm at the Friendship GAR Community Hall.

The Town of Friendship will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 6:30pm at the GAR Community Hall, Island park, 29 W. Water St., Friendship, NY to discuss the possibility of discontinuing its recycling program including curbside pickup of recycable items. The Public is encouraged to attend.

The Town Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 27th and 28th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
